Home in the Shadows by Ashika Umesh | A Poem

The God loathed by all,
Stern, Unpitying, Cruel
But still just He was.
Four black horses,
A chariot for the Lord,
Of the Underworld.

Cerberus, the most loyal one,
Of His Highness,
Helm of invisibility, Persephone
And the changing seasons.
Son of the Titans,
Brother of the most powerful deities.

Lonely he stands,
In the eternal realm of dead,
And darkness.
In a place of neglect and souls of dead,
Isolated from Olympus,
Regardless, His joy prevails.
